When I'm feeling Overwhelmed

Recently, within the last few weeks, I find that if I dwell on all that has taken place in the lives of loved ones, I become overwhelmed.
"Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John 14:27
There's a song we use to sing:
I will cast all my cares upon you.
I'll lay all my burdens down at you feet.
Anytime I don't know what to do.
I will cast all my cares upon you.
I chose the above picture because it gives me a sense of holding on to the only one who can make sense of it all. This is the place of peace, in the arms of Jesus.
God, my God, I cry out
Your beloved needs You now
God, be near calm my fears and take my doubt
Your kindness is what pulls me up
Your love is all that draws me in
I will lift my eyes to the Maker
of the mountains I can't climb
I will lift my eyes to the Calmer
of the oceans raging wild
I will lift my eyes to the Healer
of the hurt I hold inside
I will lift my eyes, lift my eyes to You
God, my God, let mercy sing
her melody over me
and God, right here all I bring
is all of me
Your kindness is what pulls me up
You love is all that draws me in

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1
I will cast my cares. I will lift up my eyes. I will hope for things not seen.

It is so easy to do...look up, that is where our comfort comes from.
